For my soundscape composition, I explored the theme of sonder—the realization that everyone around us has a life as complex as our own. During a walk by the Rideau Canal, I turned off my music and let the natural sounds around me take center stage. Footsteps crunching on leaves, snippets of passing conversations, and the gentle sounds of ducks and wind all formed a tapestry of fleeting moments. Through these sounds, I captured the shared stories that unfold around us every day, inviting listeners to pause and reflect on the interconnected world we all inhabit.
